The
1990s can only be described as a dominant decade for the CBA cross
country team as they etched 8 of the 10 NJ All-Group Meet of Champions
titles, which included a stretch of 6 consecutive state championships
lasting from 1995 to 2000. The decade began well as the 1990 team
(below) became the first team to lose the State race but come back to
win the All-Group title. Individuals like Chris Bennett and Eric Savoth
helped the program maintain such high ground. The decade ended with
arguably one of the top CBA XC teams of all time which included 4 First
Team All-State members - Brian Kerwin (only Colt to win All-Group), Andy
Filachek, Brian Hoffman, and Jeff DiChiara.
